If you live in Boston you can take part in the trial of Omega 3 and Vitamin D.

There is a study soon to be launched in Boston studying to see if a combination of Omega 3 fish oils and vitamin D have any role in the lowering of the risks of cancer. The study is being done by doctors from the Harvard Medical School and Brigham and Women’s Hospital.

They are looking for 20,000 “older” people, a quarter to be black, to see if lower rates of Vitamin D explains the higher incidence of some disease in the black population.

More specifically they are looking for women over 65 and men over 60 with no history of cancer or cardiovascular disease to take part. So if that describes you then you might consider contacting them through their website to see if you can take part.

They will have instructions available after Labor Day on how to take part.
It will be most interesting to see how it turns out. It’s expected that these studies take some years so we won’t know any time soon.
